Probably, there are not a lot of people familiar with this places, as normally when we would like to visit Kuala Lumpur, we will only visit KLCC or Bukit Bintang, or probably Dataran Merdeka. Hm, that is actually quite true. However, if you have a lot more days to visit Kuala Lumpur, I would recommend you to visit this place. Apart from FREE admission :), this could bring you a new perspective of Kuala Lumpur.
As its name, The Craft Complex provides a lot of things related into it. The idea of this, is that apart from only providing a normal handicraft shop, it also has a craft village, where a visitor could see the makings of Malaysian Handicraft. It even has its own museum, Muzium Kraf , where it shows how the craft in Malaysia is created, from a historical era until a modern era.
Here are some of my shots :)
1. Karyaneka, the Craft Shop
Karyaneka is a Craft Shop in The Craft Complex. It sells a wide range of handicraft, from Batik clothes, wood carvings, some stuffs from woven bamboo, paintings and many more. We couldn't compare the price with those from China Town, though. But in here we could enjoy the feeling of a high class shopping spree.
After doing some shopping, we could go down to the craft village, where a visitor could be given a view on how the all the handicraft is creatively made. They even will teach on how to create the some of the handicraft, so that we will experience it ourselves.

Few tips:
To get there by a called / an ordered Taxi and not by walking alone.
We will need to go by the road called 'Jalan Raja', which is a bit quiet and deserted. It is commonly known by the local that it is not very safe to walk along Jalan Raja alone, as pickpockets like to find victim along this deserted area. Another one, it is safer to get a taxi that ordered by call as compared to some random taxi that stop from the road. Similar thing that commonly known by the local, that some random taxi driver will actually trying to get funny with the passenger, especially a female passenger, if you know what I mean.
